My perfect little lovable orange and white tabby kitty is missing.

Eric let him outside yesterday before he left at 3:45pm, we both arrived home at 7pm. Normally Chewie and Oliver will both run up to the cars to say hello and walk with us down our walkway to the door so they can come inside and have a treat and get some snuggles.

Chewie wasn't there. I was worried, I told Eric that something was wrong. He said Chewie was okay, he's a cat and they like to wander.

I called him, and later called him some more. He always comes when I call, but he didn't come last night... Then it snowed, and hailed.

Chewie HATES hail. He always comes running frantically for the door when it's bad weather.

Yes, he's spoiled.

He didn't come, even though I called him all evening...

... and this morning.

I've walked our two acres twice, and along the highway, and the only options left are to ask our neighbors (we have two, one with a chocolate labrador who likes to chase Chewie up trees, the other with two huge Newfoundlands that run away from our cats), or assume that coyotes got him.

It seems odd that coyotes would get him, though, because he went missing between 3:45-7pm, and they're not usually out until dusk in this area.

Hopefully he's just been enjoying himself in a neighbor's kitchen, eating canned tuna and being spoiled with love.

I miss him.

ADDENDUM

Apparently he hopped into the back of Eric's best friend's pickup truck, and spent the night in the rafters of their garage. We got him back a couple of hours ago, and I kept my promise to Eric (that if we found him, Chewie would get an entire BIG can of tuna). He has yet to finish it, but that's only because he's too busy killing mice and chasing hummingbirds. =)

Seriously? Low rise maternity underwear = best thing ever.

That said, I'm definitely more pregnant than fat, and I'm feeling fantastic! No morning sickness, I'm finally over that stupid cold, and the sun is shining on my garden (that I actually watered today).

Oh, did I mention? We're having a girl. XD

We do have some names picked out - We're about 99% decided on the first name (Felicity), but we're still debating on her middle name. I'll make an official announcement when we've decided. I like Felicity Noelle, but Eric isn't sure.

So many of my friends are pregnant and expecting girls! It's so gosh darn exciting! I feel kind of odd, though - I'm definitely happy and enthusiastic about the entire thing, but at the same time, it's still sinking in that at the end of October (more likely early November), I'm going to officially become a Mommy. A MOMMY! ME!

Sometimes I feel badly because I'm so unmotivated and it took me forever to get my degree and I'm currently not working. Then I remember that my biggest goals in life were to serve God and be the best Wifey and Mommy I could be. So psssssht to modern society's standards - I'm right on track!

In other news, my new kitten Chewie is absolutely adorable in every possible way, and Oliver is surprisingly patient considering he's constantly being stalked, chewed, and pounced on by the little booger. Today we took him outside and he climbed the arch in my garden... And fell off. Then climbed it again... Then fell off again. He also ran underneath my watering can and freaked out in a totally fantastic full-body spazz when the water hit his head. Definitely entertaining, especially when Oliver decided to join us and they romped through my strawberries and potatoes.

Summertime is such a lovely season.

Final Update: Chewie is currently licking my bellybutton. Maybe he's communicating with the baby?

Some women get breakfast in bed.

My husband brought me a kitten.

(He's orange and white and 80% ear and absolutely adorable. His name is Simon Chewtoy, but we just call him Chewie.)

Pictures coming soon.

Also, I've decided our next kitten shall be named Darth Waffles.

...

I'm getting over being sick, finally. Still a bit sniffly and congested, but I think that's mainly due to the sun running scared from Washington. I'm hoping it makes a reappearance in time for the weekend.

...

My Mama bought me maternity clothes! Thank goodness! I still had clothes that fit, but none of my tops matched my bottoms, and the only church-appropriate clothes I have are for fall/winter. I donated most of my summer clothes last year, and apparently I only kept the too-scandalous-for-old-Baptist-ladies shirts or something (I think I figured I'd have the money to buy more - hahahahaha).

...

Is anybody else as impressed as I am with the results of Google's Doodle contest? There are some super cute designs.
